Covenant Kids is uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids, ages two months through 5th grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
When is it available?
Currently, programming for two months through 3rd grade is available at all three weekend services, while 4th/5th grade programming is only available during the Sunday 9:15am & 11:00am services.
Two months through 5th grade is available at the 11 a.m. service.
On your first visit, look for the “Got Kids? Start Here.” kiosk. We can’t wait to meet your family and help your child get checked in. After that, we will be happy to show you the age-appropriate room we have created for your child.
We will ask for some basic personal information for the sake of security, and then you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching identification tags which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service. During checkout, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
On your way home, be sure to ask your child: “Did you make a friend?” and “What did you learn today?“
A Special Note
If for some reason your child were to need you during the service, your identification code will appear on the side screens in the worship center. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately, return to the appropriate Covenant Kids area, and look for a staff member who will direct you to your child’s room.
What if I lose my security tag?
If you ever lose your security tag, you will need to provide some form of identification. This will allow the staff to easily match up your personal information as well as confirm that you are the person who initially checked them in.
What is available for nursing moms?
A mom’s nursing room is available for moms and babies. This is a “Moms Only” room for women who are nursing their babies.
When can I check my child in?
Check-in stations open twenty minutes prior to the beginning of each service and close ten minutes after the start of the service.
Why do you close the doors?
The doors close 10 minutes after the service has started in order for us to begin our program. This provides a safe, focused environment for your child and an uninterrupted worship experience for all of our children. If you need assistance after the doors have closed, please ring the bell by the door and a Hall Monitor will assist you.
We desire for each child to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their small group leader and other children within the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow!
We ask kids, “How does this apply in your world?” and “How can the Bible be relevant in your life right now?” We present biblical truth, help them understand that truth, and then help them learn to apply it to their lives.
We have the most incredible message to tell about the awesome God of the universe! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
We believe that physical, emotional and spiritual safety is vital as families entrust us with their children each week. As part of this, every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number. Additionally, all volunteers are screened with an interview, a federal criminal background check and through the US Department of Justice National Sex Offender public website.
Kids love to be with people who love them! We want them to experience the joy of being recognized, valued and encouraged! These are the things that will make them want to come back!
